Legend of Zelda Review

The Zelda Series had too start somewhere, right? Well it all started with a game for the Nintendo. That game was Legend of Zelda. The game is considered a "classic" to all Zelda gamers and was released in 1986. It is a very good game NES wise. Compared to OoT and MM it sucks, but that is because the technology for N64 is way more advanced.

Legend of Zelda has of course Link and some other great friends and enemies. The graphics aren't much but its the game play that makes it worth while. There are tons of enemies and dungeons. Also the most important part GANNON is in it!! Gannon is the best character according to me. He is quite hard and you have to figure out the Strategy too beat him. He is much like all the other bosses in that you have to use pure skill and strategy to beat them. Back to the dungeons; they all have a essential item you need to have in order to beat the game. After you beat the first quest there is another quest. Pretty cool, eh?

The other games in the series may become more advanced but Legen of Zelda was the first game in the series which makes it a "classic". I really enjoy Zelda Games and I am really thankful for Legend of Zelda because (Who Knows) there may not have been a Zelda Series quite like it is now (or not at all) if there wasn't a game to start it.

Scores
GRAPHICS:
I don’t know all the facts, but I do know the game moved frame-by-frame. The graphics were fair they were good for NES. Not comparing the graphics to modern day graphics, I’d give it a 7.5

SOUND: It played the same music over and over again, not including dungeons, but the song never wore itself out. But the fact that it only had VERY few songs, I’d give sound a 7.9, because it was a really good song, and the sound effects were fair.

CONTROL: I didn’t really like how it handled, it wasn’t unplayable but the control on the NES was sluggish, Link didn’t really go where I wanted him to. Probably because my controller is old, I’d give control an 8.5

COMMENTS: I really enjoyed that game despite some of the minor things like control. I recommend it to every Zelda fan, in fact, I recommend it to everyone. I think I complain a little about things like graphics and control because I had a chance to play BS-Zelda. Still, Zelda 1 was one in a million.

GRAPHICS: 7.5
SOUND: 7.9
CONTROL: 8.5
LASTING APPEAL: 9.9

SCORE (over all) 9.5
