Item Descriptions

Boots: This can be found in the third palace. They allow you to cross certain parts of the sea, mostly around the Ocean Palace.

Candle:
This can be found in the first palace. When you get it, places that you had not been able to see because of the dark are now lit up.

Child: Go to Maze Island. Go to the dead end that's just south of the fourth palace. Defeat the Lizardman and you'll rescue the child (which is to the right - the left is the exit). Take him back to his mother in Darunia.

Cross: This can be found in the sixth palace. With its secret power, you'll be able to see enemies that you can't normally see.

Faerie: Faeries are often hard to find, but they are generally hidden in forest clearings. Sometimes, they may also appear on the land map, or inside palaces. When you touch the faerie, she will restore all of your life meter.

Flute: This can be found in the fifth palace. It plays the legendary, mysterious music of Hyrule, which rouses old powers. Use it to get rid of the river devil south of Nabrooru, and to discover the entrance of the sixth palace (between the three mountains in south east Hyrule).

Hammer: This can break rocks and cut down trees on the landscape. To find it, you need to go to Death Mountain. From, there, make sure that whenever there's a fork in the road and you have to choose between two or more caves, choose the one to your right. When you come across a cave with an up/down elevator, leave it alone and continue straight. When you get to the last cave, take the elevator down then go right. After beating some Dairas, you will have the hammer.

Handy Glove: This can be found in the second palace. You can use it to break blocks in palaces by swinging the sword.

Magic Jar: You usually get magic jars after defeating monsters during a battle square. Sometimes, they can also be found on squares in the middle of deserts and swamps. In palaces, they are usually hidden inside a statue or gargoyle. The blue jar refills some of your magic meter and the red jar refills all of it.

Magic Key: In Hidden Kasuto, go the empty house with the fireplace. Enter the hearth, and you'll receive the Spell Spell. Go to the end of town (To the right, where there's a dead end) and cast Spell. A house will rise up from the ground and inside you will find the magic key. It can open most locked doors in the palaces.

Medicine: Head towards Moruge Swamp. There's a cave blocked by a boulder. Inside is the medicine. Trade it in Mido for the fairy spell.

Mirror: In Saria you should find a mirror in the third 'open' house. Take it to the lady who has lost her mirror and she will let you inside where you can get the life spell.

P-Bag: P-bags give you bonus experience points worth anything from 50 points and upwards. P-bags usually stick out like a sore thumb. If you see a single block of forest in the middle of a plain, or a cave, check it out. You sometimes get P-bags from defeating enemies, and they can also be found inside palaces. Beware however, for sometimes enemies are hidden inside instead!

Raft: This can be found in the Island Palace. When you get it, you will be able to cross the sea from West Hyrule to East Hyrule. Go to the ports in Mido and Nabrooru to cross.

Trophy: Go to Tantari Desert. Keep going north until you see a cave. At the end of the cave is a trophy. Take it to Ruto, where you can trade it for the jump spell. I suggest beating the first palace and getting the Candle first.

1-Up Doll: It looks just like Link! When you pick this up, you gain an extra life. There are five 1-up dolls in the game. One is in Midoro swamp. Another is in the desert near Maze Island, in a small dead end just north of the ocean. A third doll is in the swamp of southeast Hyrule. The other two are in the sixth and seventh palaces.
